Wesley Hennix

March 11, 1931-June 25, 2020

Wesley L. Hennix, 89,

Niobe, ND, passed away

Thursday, June 25, 2020,

at Trinity Hospital in

Minot.

Wesley Lane Hennix

was born March 11, 1931,

the son of Harry and Gar-

da (Myron) Hennix, in

Kenmare, ND. He was

raised in Niobe, ND. He

attended grade school in

Niobe and graduated from

the Kenmare High School

in 1949. He remained a

Honker Fan his entire life.

After high school gra-

duation, he was hired as

the “Second Man” for

Niobe Farmers Coop

Elevator until being draft-

ed into the United States

Marine Corps on February

20, 1952. He was sta-

tioned in El Toro, Santa

Ana, California, as an air-

plane mechanic during

the Korean War. He was

honorably discharged

February 19, 1954. Upon

discharge from the USMC,

he was given a day off and

returned to the Niobe

Farmers Coop Elevator.

He retired from the grain

business in 1990.

Wesley was united in

marriage to the love of his

life, Arliss V. Borjeson on

November 23, 1955, in

Niobe, ND. The couple

made their home in Niobe

for over 50 years before

moving to Kenmare, ND.

Arliss passed away on

April 25, 2019.

Wesley was a member

of Elmdale Lutheran

Church, Niobe, ND. He

will be remembered by

those who attended

church with him as the

man with the booming

voice. If he could get

someone to look for the

voice or be told it was

nice to hear him sing, his

day was made. Wes and

Arliss were members of

the Circle and Swing

Square Dance in Kenmare

and other local dance

clubs. Everyone knew

when Wes was dancing as

he would hoot and holler.

They loved attending

the extracurricular events

of their children together.

It didn’t matter if it was

sports, music or judging

events.

After their children gra-

duated from high school,

they continued on to at-

tend the college events.

The grandchildren had

the same support. It didn’t

matter if the events were

in Kenmare, Minot or

West Fargo. The support

they provided to their

children and grandchil-

dren was monumental.

We have no idea how

many miles they drove to

follow the family.

His loving family in-

cludes: sons, Laury

(Ranae) Hennix, Kirk

(Sherrie) Hennix and Rick

(Michelle) Hennix, all of

Kenmare, ND; daughter,

Renae (Ron) Howe,

Horace, ND; grandchil-

dren, Nathan (Kristen

Johnson) Hennix, Kyle

(Alex) Hennix, Travis

(Tia) Hennix, Bryce Hen-

nix, Kayla (Michael)

White, Cody Howe,

(Nicole) Perlichek and

Paxton (Lisa) Perlichek;

ka, Crew, Taylor, Maklyn,

and Tatum; brother, Ken

Hennix, Lenexa, KS;

sisters-in-law, Arlene

Schamberger, Bismarck

and Mary (Tom) Probst,

Minot; and several nieces,

nephews and cousins.

in death by: his parents;

len Hennix; sisters-in-law,
