Roland “Rollie” J. Herslip

Deering, ND, formerly of

Hazard, KY, passed away

Thursday, June 25, 2020,

in his home in Deering,

ND.

Rollie was born March

2, 1961, the son of Floyd

Herslip and Donna Ander-

son, in Kalispell, Monta-

na. Rollie was raised and

educated in Deering, ND.

Rollie was once married

to Betsy Pitman. They

made their home in Ha-

zard, KY. From this un-

ion, two sons, Ross and

Patrick, were born.

Over the years, Rollie

worked for Tollefson’s

Carpetland in Minot and

Jennings Lumber in Man-

dan, ND before moving to

Hazard, Kentucky in

1993, where he worked

for FedEx. He moved back

to North Dakota in 2012

and was living in Deering

at the time of his death.

Rollie enjoyed hunting,

being outdoors, and

spending time with his

family.

Surviving family in-

cludes: sons, Ross (Beth)

Herslip, Kite, KY, and Pa-

trick (Raeanna) Herslip,

Vicco, KY; grandchildren,

Charles, Isabella, Jaxson

and Patricia; step-

grandchildren, Allie and

Mitchell; brothers, Ray

(Laurie) Herslip, Ken

(Janelle) Herslip, and

Dennis (Melissa) Flom;

sister, Kathy (Ray)

Dockter; loyal dog, Zoey;

and numerous nieces,

nephews and cousins.

Rollie was preceded in

death by: his parents,

Floyd and Donna, and

grandchild Ashton Floyd

Herslip.

Funeral: Tuesday, June

30, 2020, at 2:00 pm at

Our Redeemer’s Lutheran

Church in Minot.

Interment: at Sunset

Memorial Gardens, Minot,

ND.

Visitation: A private

family viewing will take

place Monday at

Thompson-Larson Fun-

eral Home, Minot.

Memorials: In lieu of

flowers, memorial are pre-

ferred to Our Redeemer’s

Lutheran Church.
