Arthur Albert Ledoux

Arthur Ledoux, 76,

passed peacefully Friday,

June 5, 2020 in his home

surrounded by family in

Baird, TX.

Arthur Albert Ledoux

was born Feb 22, 1944 in

Bottineau, ND, the son of

Albert and Irene

(Engstrom) Ledoux. He

was raised on the family

farm southeast of Antler

and attended the Antler

school where he graduat-

ed in 1963. He married

Diana Johnson and had 2

kids, Tracey Kay and Troy

Arthur while working in

the oil fields of North

Dakota. He moved the

family to the Seattle area

in 1965. He worked for

Boeing and in the con-

struction industry for 10

years where he helped to

construct the Dworshak

Dam in Idaho and several

large buildings in the

Seattle area. They had 2

more kids, Todd Michael,

and Tamara Lynn, before

moving back to Antler,

ND, in 1975. He raised his

family for the next 22

years in Antler, ND, with

Diana.

He was self-employed

doing carpentry work and

worked in the oilfield. He

also ran their family farm

where he and his kids did

farming, raised hogs, cat-

tle and sheep. He enjoyed

snowmobiling, visiting

and working with friends

and neighbors, hunting,

fishing, and living the life

of North Dakota. In 1997,

he divorced Diana.

He lived on his farm

until the winter of 1998.

He then moved to Minot,

ND, he became disabled

in 2000. He started raising

and selling Pugs and Bi-

chon Frises to occupy his

time.

He married Bekki Cer-

tain in the spring of 2002

during a vacation to Ok-

lahoma. They lived in

Minot for 11 years. The

summer of 2009 they

moved to Oklahoma City,

OK, to take care of Bekki’s

mother. The fall of 2018

they moved to Baird, TX,

with Todd and Nekki

Ledoux to their place out

in the country.

He loved visiting with

family, friends and neigh-

bors, the coffee pot was

always ready to go. He

was always teaching his

trades to anyone wanting

to learn. He had many

helpers throughout the

years from sons and

daughters to nephews and

grandkids.

Arthur is survived by

his wife, Bekki of 18

years; children and

step-children; Tracey

(Rod) Belzer, Garrison,

ND; Troy Ledoux, Minot,

ND; Todd (Nekki) Ledoux,

Baird, TX; Tamara (Kevin)

Tooley, Battle Mountain,

NV; Ronda (Brian)

Mitchell, Bellevue, WA;

Alicia Corbeil, Minot, ND;

Nekki (Todd) Ledoux,

Baird, TX; Lacy (Scott)

Alsever, Minot, ND; 27

grandchildren and

step-grandchildren; and 5

great-grandchildren.

Arthur was preceded in

death by his parents Al-

bert and Irene Ledoux,

sister Sharon (Russel) Pet-

tys, and sister in-law Ruth

(Leonard) Ledoux.
