William “Bill” Faul

William “Bill” Faul, 81,

of Hurdsfield went to be

with his Lord on Monday,

Feb. 24, 2020 at a

Bismarck Hospital.

Funeral services will be

held on Saturday, Feb. 29,

2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the

Cornerstone Community

Church South Campus in

Harvey.

Visitation will be on

Friday, Feb. 28, from 3

p.m. to 7 p.m. with public

prayer services be held at

5:00 p.m. on Friday at

Hertz Funeral Home, Har-

vey, ND.

Burial will be in the

Country Mennonite

Brethren Cemetery, rural

Harvey, ND.

Bill was born on Sep-

tember 1, 1938 on the

family farm north of

Hurdsfield. He was the

son of David and Louise

(Bader) Faul. Bill grew up

and attended school near

Hurdsfield. As a young

man he worked for area

farmers. Bill married

Rosene Knutson on Oc-

tober 30, 1960 at the Trin-

ity Bethany Lutheran

Church in Harvey.

Bill worked as a sales-

man for the Dakota Farm-

er Magazine and sold

Handyman Jacks for a

time. He then began farm-

ing on his own.

Bill and Rosene moved

to a farm south of Harvey

where they lived and

farmed and raised their

family. They instilled

their love for Jesus Christ

throughout their lives in

their children and

grandchildren. After 58

years of marriage his wife,

Rosene, passed away on

January 25, 2019.

Bill was a member of

the Cornerstone Com-

munity Church and held

many offices there. He

was a former member of

the Country Mennonite

Church. He served on the

Pony Gulch Township for

many years. Bill enjoyed

restoring many cars and

pickups and farm

machinery. He also at-

tended his

grandchildren’s event

when they were growing

up. Bill played guitar and

wrote many of his own

songs. Bill came to town

almost daily to have cof-

fee with his friends which

he enjoyed.

Bill is survived by: his

daughter, Lori Yoder of

Topeka, Kansas, son and

daughter-in-law, Mark

and Michelle Faul of

Hurdsfield; daughter and

son-in-law, Susan (Gay-

lon) Sieler of Cando, ND;

eight grandchildren; 5

great- grandchildren; 3

step-grandchildren; 5

step-greatgrandchildren;

brothers, Ken (Karen) Faul

and Dennis (Alice) Faul

all of Harvey, Gary (Don-

na) Faul of Newkirk, OK.

Bill was preceded in

death by: parents; wife;

brothers, Fred, Raymond,

Clifford, Alvin Art and El-

mer; and an infant broth-

er; sister, Betty during in-

fancy.
