Alice Schiffman Knutson

Alice Schiffman Knut-

son was born on January

20,1926 in Sherwood,

N.D, where she lived until

her marriage to Richard

Knutson in 1947. They

moved to the family farm

around Norma, N.D. Alice

and Richard were blessed

with 1 son, Peter (Paula),

and three daughters,

Kathy (Kirk Morten), Cin-

dy (Kenneth Strand), and

Michele (Steven

Schmidt). 1977 moved

them to the great Canadi-

an outdoors around Ethel-

bert, MB, to ranch with

their son.

Alice enjoyed gardening

and her flowers. She also

was the best grandmother

and cookie maker on the

prairies.

She is survived by nine

grandchildren and sixteen

great-grandchildren who

will attest to her baking

skills.

Alice died on February

21, 2020 in Dauphin Per-

sonal Care Home at the

age of 94.

She was pre-deceased

by her husband, Richard,

three sons-in-law, Kirk

Morten (Kathy), Kenneth

Strand (Cindy), and

Steven Schmidt

(Michele). Three brothers:

Martin, Lawrence, and

Leonard. Three sisters:

Esther, Leona, and Goldie.

She has one surviving sis-

ter, Marie Knutson, Ash-

ville, MB.

Cremation has taken

place and a family Cele-

bration of Life will take

place in ND this summer.
