Thomas YanPong Hsu,

55, Minot, ND, died Satur-

day, December 28, 2019 in

Minot.

Thomas was born Au-

gust 9, 1964 in the capital

of the Qin Dynasty, Xi’an,

China to ZhengFen Hsu

and ZhiQuan Ni.

He earned a Bachelor of

Science and Engineering

Degree from TsingHua

University in Beijing P.R.

China. He continued his

education at the Univer-

sity of Maine in the Unit-

ed States, earning a Mas-

ter of Science Degree and

was a PhD Candidate of

the university.

Thomas was a very ac-

complished licensed civil

and structural engineer;

holding licenses in Cali-

fornia, Arizona, Hawaii

and many other states in

U.S.

Thomas was united

marriage to ChunYan Hu.

They lived in Beijing, Chi-

na and Scottsdale, Arizo-

na United States.

ChunYan passed away on

November 15, 2007.

Thomas was once mar-

ried to Guo (Grace) Chen;

they lived in Beijing, Chi-

na, Bangor, Maine and

Phoenix, Arizona.

He was currently a

resident of Minot, ND. He

was once married to Hao

Ling Shen. Thomas main-

tained business dealings

in Minot until his passing.

Thomas was a fluent

speaker of the Mandarin

Chinese and Shanxi local

dialect as well as the

Spanish language. He

was also an outstanding

impression artist that spe-

cialized in portraits and

scenery. He will be dee-

ply missed and mourned

by all who shared in his

life.

Thomas is survived by

his daughter Shan Hsu of

California and his brother

YanGe Hsu, Baoding, Chi-

na.

Funeral service: 10:30

a.m. Friday, January 3,

2020 at the Thomas Fami-

ly Funeral Home, Minot.

Interment will be held

at Green Acres Cemetery

in Scottsdale Arizona on

Friday, January 10, 2020

at 10:30 a.m.

Visitation will be held

one hour prior to the start

of the service at the fun-

eral home.
