Stefina Demchuk

Stefina R. Demchuk, 83,

Minot, passed away on

Monday, January 27, 2019

in her home with her fam-

ily by her side.

Stefina Rose Martin was

born on January 29, 1936,

a daughter of Martin and

Rose (Degenstein) Martin

on the family farm near

Orrin, ND. She was raised

and educated in the Orrin

area, where she attended

rural country schools.

On April 23, 1955,

Stefina was united in mar-

riage to Edward “Ed”

Demchuk in Mandan, ND.

They made their home in

Minot, where Stefina

worked for 27 years at

Roosevelt School prior to

her retirement. She then

began driving bus for

Minot Public Schools to

Minot Air Force Base, a

position she held for 17

years. She then drove bus

for ten years for the Minot

Commission on Aging,

which became the Souris

River Basin, where she

continues to workfor 1.5

years. Her husband Ed

passed away May 5, 2002.

She continued to reside in

Minot.

Stefina enjoyed spend-

ing time outdoors fishing

on Lake Sakakawea and

camping. She was a

member of First Lutheran

Church of Minot, and was

also an avid bingo player,

and also enjoyed dancing

and crochet. She was a

loving mother, grand-

mother,

great-grandmother and

great-great-grandmother

and will be missed by all

that knew her.

Anderson, Devils Lake,

ND; Randy (Candy) Dem-

chuk, Garrison, Ricky

(Michelle) Demchuk,

Minot; grandchildren:

Melissa Anderson, Casey

(Kelsey) Demchuk, Valari

(Robert) Berger, Victoria

Ostwald, Amy Demchuk,

Eric Demchuk;

great-grandchildren: Dus-

tin, Brock, Brooke, An-

drew and Brittany; one

great-great grandchild

Deklin; sisters: Laura

Vetter, Dickinson, Mary

(Edmund) Schatz,

Anamoose, ND, Kathy

(Jerry) Branson, Fergus

Falls, MN, Linda Black,

Minot. Numerous nieces,

nephews and cousins also

survive.

Stefina was preceded

in death by her husband

Ed, parents, brothers, Al-

vin, John, Kenneth, Ed-

ward and Martin and a

sister Angeline Pedersen.

Visitation: There will be

no reviewal as cremation

has taken place, however,

friends may sign a guest

register on Friday, January

31, 2020 from 3 until 6

pm at Thompson-Larson

Funeral Home, Minot.

Memorial Service: Sa-

turday, February 1, 2020

at 10:30 am at First Luth-

eran Church, Minot.

Burial: Will take place

at a later date at Rosehill

Memorial Park, Minot.
