Barbara Ann Johnson
Barb Johnson, 61,
passed away peacefully at
home in Lake Havasu
City, AZ on January 23,
2020. During the last four
years Barb battled cancer
with a very positive and
motivated lifestyle, which
included working out at
the gym 4 days a week.
She became an inspira-
tion and motivated others
to be positive in their bat-
tle with cancer.
Barb was born in Rug-
by, ND, attended school
in Towner, ND and col-
lege in Bismarck at
Bismarck Junior College.
She married her husband,
Ross Johnson, in Towner,
ND on October 14, 1983.
Most recently, Barb
owned her own retail
store, Havasu Bling. She
was very creative and
designed apparel for her
bling store, as well as the
Havasu Balloon Festival,
and ASU at Lake Havasu.
Prior to opening Havasu
Bling, Barb owned Brain
in Sync. She also was a
real estate agent and when
first arriving in town, she
worked as a Havasu Re-
gional Hospital Medical
Staff Assistant and Medi-
cal Records Secretary.
While living in North
Dakota, Barb was em-
ployed as Human
Resources Coordinator for
the Kenmare Hospital,
was Executive Director of
Economic Development &
the Chamber of Com-
merce in Kenmare, and
was a banking Loan Ad-
ministrator in Minot, ND.
Barb loved spending
time on the lake with fam-
ily and friends. She was
an avid sports fan and fol-
lowed her favorite teams
(Arizona Cardinals,
Phoenix Suns, & ASU Sun
Devils). Barb enjoyed
volunteering for com-
munity, church, and civic
organizations and loved
meeting new people. She
was an active member of
the Cancer Association of
Havasu and related sup-
port groups, Our Lady of
the Lake Catholic Church,
LHC Haven Resource
Center (Board Member),
and the Elks Lodge. She
also served on many Ha-
vasu Balloon Fest commit-tees, plus the committees
that helped establish the
ASU presence in Lake Ha-
vasu City.
She is survived by hus-
band: Ross, Daughter: Jen-
na Johnson, Son in law:
Randy Johnson, Mother:
Selma Keller., Sister:
Shari Lilly, Brother: Brad
Keller.
Barb was preceded in
death by her father,
Balcer Keller Jr,
Daughters: Nikki Ann
Johnson and Erica Jo
Johnson.
A memorial service
will be held on Saturday
February 1, 2020 at 1:30
pm at Our Lady of the
Lake Catholic Church in
Lake Havasu City, AZ fol-
lowed by a reception in
the Holy Family Parish
Center.

pice of Havasu.
