Surrey, ND, passed away

Wednesday, January 8,

2020, in a Minot Health

Care Facility.

Amelia was born Febru-

ary 27, 1937, the daughter

of Felix and Katherine

(Schmaltz) Bachmeier, in

Orrin, ND. She was raised

in the Orrin area and

moved to the Kenmare,

ND area, working for the

Larson Brothers.

Amelia married Albert

M. Brown in Kenmare, on

August 8, 1957. They

lived in numerous towns

in North Dakota, settling

in Surrey, ND in 1973.

She worked several jobs

over the years, eventually

working for a day care in

Surrey for a while.

Amelia was a member

of Hope Lutheran Church,

Surrey, St. Joseph’s Hos-

pital Auxiliary, Minot,

helping with the Eliza-

bethan Tea, the Surrey

Senior Citizen Club and

Quilted for Hope Luth-

eran Church, Surrey.

Surviving family in-

cludes: husband of 52

years Albert, son, Austin

Brown; daughter, Audrey

Brown; grandchildren,

Erik Koski, Megan Lauren-cio, Adam Brown and

Molly Van Rees;

great-grandchildren,

Danielle, Gia, Cece, Sable;

brothers, Ludwig

Bachmeier and Gabriel

Bachmeier; sisters, Helen

Simmons, Caroline Heil-

man, Gertrude Abrekke,

Esther Goldade Adaline

Bonn and Janis Phillips

and numerous nieces,

nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in

death by her parents; si-

blings, Jakob, Casper,

Dorothy, Mary Eva, Julie,

Betty and Magdalina.

Memorial Service: Sa-

turday, January 11, 2020,

at 1 p.m. at Hope Luth-

eran Church, Surrey, ND.

Memorials: are pre-
