Vicki Staael

Vicki Staael—–58, Ken-

mare, passed away Tues-

day, December 24, 2019 in

a Minot hospital following

a brief battle with cancer.

Vicki Gay Staael was

born on May 20, 1961, in

Kenmare, ND, a daughter

of Duane H. “Budd” and

Alice Mae “Peggy” (Peter-

son) Staael. She was

raised and educated in

Kenmare, and graduated

from Kenmare High

School in 1980. Vicki

furthered her education

by attending Minot State

University.

Following her educa-

tion, Vicki returned to

Kenmare, where she

worked multiple jobs

often at the same time.

Mornings she could be

found at the San Way Ve

Motel working in the

housekeeping department,

Farmers Union Oil Com-

pany, and cleaning the

dental office of Dr. Ganes.

She also waitressed and

babysat for area families

in her younger years.

When she wasn’t work-

ing, Vicki enjoyed fishing,

crocheting, reading or tak-

ing an occasional trip to

the casino. One of her

favorite things was having

coffee and good conversa-tion with friends. She was

a member of Nazareth

Lutheran Church, Ken-

mare.

Vicki is survived by: Si-

blings; Holly Staael, Ken-

mare; Rick (Johanna) Staa-

el, Highlands Ranch, CO;

Tammy (Mark) Hoppel,

Mason City, IA; nieces

and nephews: Marissa,

Michael, Abigail and

Christopher; a cousin

Walter H. “Butch”

Dennhardt, Jr., Stillwater,

MN; siblings of the heart:

Jodi Pierce-Marmon, Car-

pio, Brenda

Johnson-Berntson, Minot;

life-long friend Doreen

(Tim) Schwartz, Kenmare

and Kathryne (Kenny)

Meckle, Palermo, ND.

She was preceded in

death by her parents

Budd and Peggy, a cousin

Sandra Dennhardt, and

several aunts and uncles.

Visitation: There will be

no reviewal as cremation

has taken place, however,

friends may sign a guest

register on Monday, De-

cember 30, 2019 one hour

prior to the service at the

church.

Memorial Service:

Monday, December 30,

2019 at 2:00 pm at Na-

zareth Lutheran Church,

Kenmare, ND

Burial: Will take place

in May of 2020 at

Lakeview Cemetery, Ken-

mare, ND
