Ethel Schwabe

Ethel M. (Douglas)

Schwabe, 100, passed

away at a Mohall nursing

home Oct. 11, 2019.

She was born to John

and Sarah (Fraser) Doug-

las on June 1, 1919, at the

family farm south of Carn-

duff, Sask., Canada. She

married Hans Schwabe of

Sherwood on Oct. 11,

1940. He passed away

Dec. 19, 1974. They lived

on a farm west of Sher-

wood for seven years and

she became a naturalized

citizen during that time.

They then moved to Nor-

ma in 1947 and returned

to Sherwood in 1954. She

was employed at Krueger

Hardware and K.R. Flem

Implement for many

years. She moved to the

Good Samaritan Society,

Mohall, in Sept. of 2012.

Family: Ethel is sur-

vived by a daughter, Glen-

da Raymond, Topeka,

Kan.; a grandson Scott

(Amy) Raymond; three

great-grandchildren,

Amanda (Elijah) Kennedy,

Alex and Kate Raymond;

and three

great-great-grandchildren;

and many nieces and

nephews.

Ethel was preceded in

death by: her parents and

eight siblings, Lovina,

Nellie, Charlotte, George,

Russell, Harvey, Roy, and

Sydney.

preferred to the Sherwood

Fire Department, Sher-

wood Ambulance Service

or Sherwood American

Legion.

A graveside service will

take place at a time to be

determined in May 2020.
