Yvonne Renfadnt
June 28, 1923 - Nov. 27, 2019
Yvonne Marie Renfandt
(Boucher) passed away
peacefully Wednesday,
November 27, 2019, at
Trinity Homes in Minot,
ND at the age of 96.
Yvonne was born to
Emile and Emiline (Cote)
Boucher in Thorne, ND
on June 28, 1923. She gra-
duated from Rolla High
School and furthered her
education at St Joseph’s
School of Nursing where
she graduated with a Re-
gistered Nurse degree in
1946. She married Otto
“Hap” Renfandt on Oc-
tober 30, 1946 in Fargo,
ND, and they made their
home in Minot. They
spent 58 wonderful years
together before his pass-
ing in 2005.
Yvonne worked as a
nurse at Trinity Hospital
for a few years before
managing the office of the
family business, Hap’s
Plumbing and Heating.
She retired to be a stay
home mom and raise her
two sons.
Yvonne was a loving
and devoted wife, mother,
grandmother, sister, and
friend. She enjoyed enter-
taining family and friends
with home cooked meals,
a game of cards, and good
conversation. She was al-
ways there to lend a
listening ear or a helping
hand, and delighted in
playing pranks on un-
suspecting visitors.
Yvonne enjoyed traveling,
spending time at her lake
cabin, reading, playing
games, bowling, and using
the computer for emailing
and entertainment. She
was a skilled knitter, cro-
cheter, and seamstress
creating many beautiful
things. Her greatest joy
was her two grandsons.
Yvonne spent many en-
joyable years traveling
with her husband during
their retirement. Their ad-
ventures began in a motor
home prior to purchasing
a home in Mesa, Arizona
where they spent twenty
years creating treasured
memories. Their summer
months were spent at the
cabin on Lake Metigoshe,
where they enjoyed fish-
ing, boating, and sharing
good times around the
campfire. At the lake, she
found great joy in tending
to her garden, harvesting
an abundance of produce
and raspberries each sum-
mer. She was well known
for her bread-n-butter
pickles, and raspberry
jam.
Yvonne is survived by
her loving family, sons
Randy (Paula) and Steven,
one grandson, sister Julie
Vandal, brother Larry
Boucher, and numerous
nieces and nephews.
Yvonne was preceded
in death by her parents
Emile and Emilie Bouch-
er, husband Hap, grand-
son Mark, brothers Alfred,
Ovide, Tony, Aime, Gary,
Vernon, Romeo, and
Frank, and sisters
Florence Boucher and
Lydia Eller.
The family would like
to express a sincere thank
you to the staff at Somer-
set Court and the staff at

Yvonne’s excellent care.
Their compassion and
dedication were greatly
appreciated.
