Janis Hatchard

Janis Hatchard, 81,

Minot, ND and former

Perinatal Nursing Coordi-

nator of Trinity Hospital,

died Friday, November 1,

2019 in Minot.

Janis was born January

16, 1938 in St. Paul, MN

to Alex and Lena (Aigner)

Przymus. She grew up in

Minnesota and completed

her Bachelor of Science

Degree in nursing

Janis was once married

to Loren Hatchard. This

union was blessed with

two children, Kele and

Mark. They made their

home in California until

moving to North Dakota,

where she remained the

rest of her life.

Janis found her niche in

medicine in the perinatal

field at Trinity Hospital in

Minot. Throughout her

tenure, she developed her

skills as nurse educator

and served as perinatal

coordinator until she re-

tired.

Janis was an accom-

plished artist. She spe-

cialized in watercolors

and her talents were on

display in many local

businesses and art shows

over the years. Jan trav-

eled enjoying her time in

the Cayman Islands and at

Strawberry Lake where

she owned a cabin for

many years. A glass of pi-

not grigio and a game of

bingo were second only to

her pugs, Mandy and Mol-

ly. She will be deeply

missed by all who shared

in her life.

Janis is survived by her

children Kele (Michael)

Monteith, New Rich-

mond, WI and Mark

(Pam) Hatchard, Oklaho-

ma City, OK and sister

Susan Barker, Minneapo-

lis, MN along with

numerous nieces and

nephews.
