Chris Becker

Oct. 20, 1977-Sept. 23, 2019

Chris Becker, 41,

Anamoose, passed away

Monday, September 23,

2019 as a result of injuries

sustained in an automo-

bile accident near Kief,

ND.

Chris Lee Becker, son of

Leroy and Kathy

(Schmidt) Becker, was

born October 20, 1977 at

Minot and grew up on the

family farm south of

Anamoose. He fell in love

with farming and ranch-

ing at a very young age,

and worked alongside his

father and mother. He at-

tended Anamoose Public

School where he excelled

in sports, especially

basketball. Following his

graduation in 1997, Chris

worked for Heringer

Lumber Company in

Anamoose for a time be-

fore accepting a position

as a conductor with Cana-

dian Pacific Railroad

where he was presently

employed. In addition to

working for CP Rail, Chris

currently farmed and

ranched with his wife, La-

cey. They also owned and

operated Becker Corn

Chopping. He took great

pride in the legacy he was

building for his family.

On August 10, 2004,

Chris was united in mar-

riage to Lacey Axt in Las

Vegas, Nevada. They have

made their home in

Anamoose since, and

have been blessed with 3

sons who love and adore

their father.

Chris was passionate

about those things he

loved most which includ-

ed his family, his faith

and his work. He was

fond of deep discussion

regarding religion and

faith, especially with

someone who may not

share his opinion. At-

tending Sunday church

service with his family

was a priority for Chris.

He valued the important

time with his wife and

children, and wanted to

raise his family knowing

that God needs to be the

primary focus in their

lives.

Chris enjoyed working

alongside his family on

the farm, and teaching his

children the importance

of a job well done. Along

with his appreciation for

hard work, he also en-

joyed quality time just

hanging out with his chil-

dren, an occasional date

with his wife, playing

poker, and a good steak.

Chris had a great sense of

humor, liked to tease, and

could make you laugh

with a good story. He al-

ways kept a positive atti-

tude and forgave easily.

He is survived by: his

wife, Lacey; his 3 sons,

Everette, Greyson and

Rhodes, and another child

due in April 2020; his

parents, Leroy and Kathy

Becker of rural Anamoose;

his sister, Alyssa (Dan)

Weigel of Menoken; and 1

niece & 2 nephews, Shi-

loh, Micah and Gideon

Weigel.

Chris was preceded in

death by: his brother,

Chad; and his

grandparents, Elmer &

Agnes Schmidt and Elroy

& Marjorie Becker.
