William “Bill” Edward

Keller, 85, Surrey, ND

passed away on Thursday,

July 11, 2019 in the Souris

Valley Care Center, Velva

ND.

William Edward Keller

was born on July 19, 1933,

a son of Michael and

Josephine Keller in Balta,

ND. He was raised and

educated in the Balta and

Selz areas. In 1960 Bill re-

located to the Kenmare

area where he worked

with his brother, Tony. It

was there he met his life

love, Shirley.

On June 26, 1961 Bill

was united in marriage to

Shirley Ann Dahlin. They

began raising their family

in Kenmare until moving

to Minot in 1965, where

he worked for Day and

Zimmerman Company

working construction and

building housings for the

MAFB. William and Shir-

ley moved to Surrey in

November of 1971. Willi-

am began working with

the NDDOT in 1977 as an

equipment operator and

continued his employ-

ment until his retirement

in 1996.

William was a devoted

family man. He spent

much of his free time

hunting and fishing with

his sons and his grand-

sons. He enjoyed camping

and being in the yard

tending to his garden.

He was a member of

First Lutheran Church of

Minot.

Bill is survived by: Wife

of 58 years, Shirley; his

five children, Rodney

(Kimberly) Keller of Max,

ND, Bonnie (Brian) Aho of

Grandin, ND, Steve Keller

of Bismarck, ND, Denise

Pardon and companion

Minot, ND, Tawny (Mark)

sisters-in-law, Ella Mae

Dahlien of Minot ND,

Marlene Dahlin of Kief,

ND; numerous nieces and

nephews also survive.

Bill was preceded in

death by his parents; four

brothers, Raymond Keller,

Adam Keller, Tony Keller

and Leonard Keller; a sis-

ter, Maryann Lybeck;

seven brothers-in-law, Er-

ling Lybeck, Don Busch,

Milton Dahlien, Eldon

West, Don Dahlien, James

Henderson, Merlin Dah-

lin; six sisters-in-law,

Kathryn Keller, Rose Kell-

er, Janice Keller, Ellen

Dahlien, Mildred West

and Delores Henderson.
