Paul Buriak, 78, Minot,

entered his eternal home

on Sunday, July 7, 2019

with his family by his side

in a Minot hospital.

Paul Lewis Buriak was

born January 10, 1941 in

Rochester, New York to

Paul & Mary (Gacura)

Buriak. He grew up in

Pennsylvania & Ohio, gra-

duating from Washington

High School, Massillon,

Ohio in 1959. He enlisted

in the United States Air

Force on February 26,

1960, retiring from active

duty in 1981.

He married JoAnn

Buriak in 1963. There

were three children born

to this union: Maria Jane,

Paul Lewis II, and Heather

Elizabeth.

Paul attended college

during each of his mili-

tary assignments, finish-

ing his Bachelor of Sci-

ence in Education/History

at Minot State University.

After receiving his degree

he taught in the local

school system for 20

years.

He was a member of All

Saints Episcopal Church,

served on the Vestry

numerous times and was

frequently Senior War-

den. He was a lay reader,

assisted teaching the adult

church school class,

helped in the kitchen dur-

ing church activities and

worked the weekly soup

kitchen. He will be greatly

missed by all who were

blessed to share in his

life.

Paul is survived by: his

wife of 56 years, JoAnn

Buriak; his children,

Maria (Robin) Schuh, Paul

(Shellie) Buriak, Heather

(Bradley) Malone; his five

grandchildren, Kaylie

Buriak, Josua (Jasmine)

Schuh, Brianna Buriak,

Gabriel Schuh, and Paul

Luke Buriak; and niece

Diane Resvick.

a.m. Saturday, July 13,

2019 at All Saints Ep-

iscopal Church, Minot.

Visitation: Friday, July

12, 2019 from 3:00 p.m.

until 6:00 p.m. in Thomas

Family Funeral Home,

Minot.
