Ernest W. Conger

Ernest W. Conger, 78,

Minot, passed away on

Monday, July 8, 2019 in a

Minot nursing home.

Ernest Wayne Conger

was born on February 14,

1941, a son of Ernest R.

and Doris M. (Woodson)

Conger in Las Vegas,

Nevada. He worked along-

side his father in the bus-

ing industry.

On January 19, 1960,

Ernest enlisted into the

United States Army. He

proudly served his coun-

try while serving in South

Korea, during the Korean

Conflict. He was honor-

ably discharged on Febru-

ary 15, 1963. Following

his discharge, he returned

to the United States,

where Ernest worked as a

splicer of the GTE Tele-

phone Company, retiring

following 30 years of ser-

vice due to health con-

cerns.

In 1976, while working

in Minot, he met Alie

Sivertson, and on Sep-

tember 10, 1977, they

were united in marriage.

They made their home in

Florida until 2006, when

they moved to Minot to be

closer to family.

Ernest is survived by:

wife of 41 years, Alie,

Minot; children: Clyde

(Deb) Sivertson, Guy

(Cathy) Sivertson, Phyllis

(Gary) Norman, Lou John-

son and Bonnie Njos and

their families; one sister:

Jeanine Dourbet.

Ernest was preceded in

death by: his parents, one

brother, and two sisters.

Visitation: There will be

no reviewal, as cremation

has taken place, however,

friends may sign a guest

register on Friday from

noon until 1 pm at

Thompson-Larson Fun-

eral Home, Minot

Memorial Service: Fri-

day, July 12, 2019 at 1 pm

at Thompson-Larson Fun-

eral Home Chapel, Minot.

Burial: A private family

committal service will

take place at a later date.
