Derek Charles Anderson
Dec. 19, 1985-July 5, 2019
Derek Charles Ander-
son, 33, Lansford, ND,
formerly of Minot, passed
away July 5th, 2019 at his
residence.
Derek was born De-
cember 19th, 1985 in
Minot to Greg Anderson &
Cheryl (Moore) Anderson.
He attended Bel Air Ele-
mentary, Ramstad Junior
High, and graduated from
Minot High School in
2004. He was baptized
and confirmed at St.
Mark’s Church in Minot.
After graduation Derek
worked in several occupa
tions including mechan-
ics, carpentry, electronics,
and concrete work. In
2013 he started his own
business, Derek Anderson
Contracting, taking on any
project asked of him. He
continued on with this
business until the time of
his death.
In 2011 he and his spe-
cial friend, Melissa,
moved to Lansford and to-
gether they built their
new home from the
ground up. If they did not
know how to accomplish
something, they would
teach themselves and
complete the project.
They were so proud of a
job well done.
Derek’s sense of humor
was always on display
with a quick comeback or
witty comment. He was a
very independent man
and there was never a
challenge that he did not
try to overcome but he
was not able to accom-
plish all.
Derek was very kind
and caring with a big
heart, which held a spe-
cial love for his four kit-
ties. They came first in
his life for everything and
he made that very well
known to those that knew
him.
He will be deeply
missed by all those that
were part of his life.
He was preceded in
death by: his paternal
grandmother, Geneva
Anderson; maternal
grandmother, Gwen
Moore; maternal grandfa-
ther Charles Moore; and
aunt Beth Bobulinski.
He is survived by: his
father, Greg Anderson;

ly; brother, Dustin Ander-
