Mary Jo Malin, 84,
Minot, formerly of Oregon
and California, died Sa-
turday, June 8, 2019 at her
daughter’s residence in
Minot.
Mary Jo was born June
11, 1934 at Shoshone, ID
the daughter of Jack F.
and Millicent (Baker)
Meacham. She moved
with her family to Tor-
rance, CA in 1940. The
family moved to Crooked
River, Oregon and later
Redmond, Oregon, where
she graduated from
Bonanza High School in
1952. She moved to Eu-
gene, OR and received
training at the Sacred
Heart School of Nursing.
Mary Jo was united in
marriage to DeForest Ma-
lin on September 13, 1954
in Stevenson, WA. They
made their home in Ore-
gon and later New Mexico
while her husband was
stationed with the US Air
Force. They later lived in
various places across the
US and Turkey while he
was stationed with the
USAF.
Along with raising their
three children, Mary Jo
also received her LPN
license and was employed
as a mental health special\
ist in New Mexico. She
and DeForest moved to
Minot in 2002. He died on
January 20, 2011.
Her loving family in-
cludes: her children: Mil-
licent S’tah of Orange
Beach, Alabama, Joseph
(Romel Mathias) Malin,
Twain Harte, CA & An-
nette (Tom) Seabolt,
Minot; 6 grandchildren,
11 great-grandchildren
and 1 great-great-
grandchild.
Mary Jo was preceded
in death by: her parents;
husband of 57 years, De-
forest; twin sister, Ruby
Ann, sisters, Jessica Luce
& Melissa Willison;
half-sister, Sunny June
Decker and brother, John
Meacham.
At her request there
will not be a service or
visitation in Minot. Inter-
ment will take place in
Hailey, Idaho.
