away March 1, 2019, at
Silver Creek Memory Care
facility, Mesa, AZ.
A service will be held
for family and friends
June 12th at 11:00 AM at
Trinity Lutheran Church
in Columbus, North
Dakota, Pastor Gwin Offi-
ciating and burial will fol-
low at Trinity Lutheran
Cemetery, Columbus.
Marjorie was born to
Newell and Lila Thomas
of Rural Powers Lake on
October seventeenth,
1934.
She grew up and at-
tended school in the
Powers Lake area.
Marjorie married
Lawrence Oas on De-
cember 18th, 1950 and
they lived, raised a family,
and worked the land on
the farm located south of
Columbus. Beyond run-
ning a home, Marjorie was
a skilled crafter and artist,
played the Violin, served
on the Columbus School
Board, taught Sunday
school, active member of
Tonset, and Trinity Luth-
eran Congregations, was
active with the Lutheran
Women’s International
Red Jello Society, and the
North Dakota Snowbird-
ers, Arizona Chapter.
Marjorie was preceded
in death by her parents
(Newell and Lila Thomas).

brother (Delbert Thomas)
Marjorie is survived by
her three children, Brenda
( Mesa, AZ) David & wife
Chris (Osburn ID) Richard
(Chandler AZ) , and a
grand-daughter Katie and
2 great-grandchildren,
Vincent and Blair
(Chandler, AZ) a sister-
Renee (MO) and a
brother-Mark (OK), plus
numerous nieces,
nephews, cousins, neigh-
bors and friends.
