Minot, ND, passed away

Sunday, June 9, 2019, at

Trinity Nursing Home of

Minot following a coura-

geous battle with demen-

tia.

Leland Conrad Moum

was born April 20, 1938,

to Conrad and Dagny (Er-

ickson) Moum, in Bot-

tineau, ND. He was raised

on the family farm near

Landa, ND until the fami-

ly moved to Bottineau,

ND. He graduated from

Bottineau High School.

Lee attended Minot

State University. He

joined the United States

Army on December 6,

1961. He proudly served

his country until being

honorably discharged on

December 5, 1963.

Lee married Janice Hof-

fart on November 21,

1964 in Bismarck, ND.

They made their home in

Minot and were the proud

parents of three children:

Lisa, Jeffrey and Jason.

Lee worked a variety of

jobs until becoming em-

ployed with Food Ser-

vices of America, where

he was a salesman for

several years.

Lee was a former

member of the Elks Lodge.

He was elected onto the

Little Flower Church

Council and also volun-

teered at the Little Flower

Church Food Pantry.

In his free time, Lee en-

joyed hunting, fishing,

camping and gardening.

He was also an avid sports

fan.

Lee’s loving family in-

cludes: Wife of 54 years,

Janice, Minot; daughter,

Lisa (Curtis) Eckholm,

Mandan; sons, Jeffrey

(Rhonda) Moum and Ja-

son (Amber) Moum, both

of Minot; grandchildren,

Collin (McKayla) Moum,

Jayden (Kolton) Larson,

Larissa and Chase Eck-

holm, and Conner, Carson

and Emma Moum;

sisters-in-law, Jane

Moum, Aggie Barclay and

Geri Dockter;

brother-in-law, Mike Hof-

fart; and several nieces,

nephews and cousins.

Lee was preceded in

death by: his parents;

parents-in-law, Frank and

Katherine Hoffart; broth-

ers, Arlin (Minnie) Moum

and Daryl Moum; sister,

Betty (Jerry) Brandt; and

several nephews and

cousins.

al: Saturday, June 15,

2019, at 10:30 a.m. at St.

Therese, Church of the

Little Flower, Minot, ND.

Interment: Rosehill

Memorial Park, Minot,

ND.

Visitation: Friday from

5 to 7 p.m. followed by

Recitation of the Holy

Rosary and a Vigil Prayer

Service at 7 p.m. at

Thompson-Larson Fun-

eral Home, Minot, ND.
