Larry Boutilier, 84, rur-
al Granville died on
Wednesday, May 15, 2019
in a Minot hospital from
cardiac arrest. He was sur-
rounded by his loving
family.
Larry David Boutilier
was born on September
21, 1934 on the family
farm near Granville, ND
to David and Murriel
(Vaughn) Boutilier. He
was raised on the family
farm, attended school in
Granville and graduated
from Granville High
School in 1953.
Larry married Janice
Woodall, the love of his
life, on June 6, 1954 at the
Congregational Church in
Minot. They made their
home on the Boutilier
Family Farm. Larry
farmed and ranched in
Granville Township of
McHenry County, raising
cattle, sheep, pigs, turkeys
and chickens. Also, he
was employed at Massey
Ferguson Implement
Dealership in Minot,
drove school bus for the
Granville School and as-
sisted his wife with the
operation of the Country
Inn Adult Senior Care.
Larry retired from farm-
ing and ranching in 2001
and he and Janice had
spent the winter months
in Green Cove Springs,
FL. Additionally, they had
many adventures along
the way painting, wallpa-
pering, sheetrocking,
staining, carpeting and
cleaning, but their
number one passion was
their children and
grandchildren.
Larry was a member of
the Eagles Aerie and regu-
larly attended Northland
Harvest Church, Minot,
and Living Water Church
in Green Cove Springs,
FL. He especially enjoyed
fishing, hunting, dancing,
watching westerns and
working the land.
Larry’s loving family
includes: his wife of 64
years: Janice; children:
Renae (Dennis) Baucom of
Green Cove Springs FL,
Curtis (Diane) Boutilier of
Minot, Paul (Cathy)
Boutilier of Grand Junc-
tion CO, Misslyn (Tim)
Shields of Savage MT; sis-
ters: Melody Roberts and
Mary (Nick) Faken all of
Granville; thirteen
grandchildren; ten
great-grandchildren and
several nieces, nephews
and cousins
Larry was preceded in
death by: his parents,
brother: Barry and
in-laws: Paul and Eunice
Woodall, Cleone Rollman
and Duane Woodall.
Celebration of the Life
of Larry Boutilier: Mon-
day, May 20, 2019 at 1:00
p.m. in Northland Harvest
Church, Minot.
Interment will be in the
Granville Cemetery at a
later date.
Visitation: Sunday from
4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
in Thomas Family Funeral
