Elizabeth Hoff

Nov. 9, 1936-May 7, 2019

Elizabeth Hoff, age 82 of

Minot, died Tuesday, May

7, 2019 at a Bismarck hos-

pital. Her funeral will be

held on Tuesday, May 14,

2019 at the St. John the

Apostle Catholic Church

in Minot. Visitation will

begin one hour prior to

the service at the church.

Burial will be at the Un-

ion Cemetery near Bantry,

ND.

Elizabeth or Betty as

she was known by most,

was born on November 9,

1936 to Thomas and Ber-

tha (Ridgell) Bradburn in

Pearson, Maryland. Betty

worked at Cedar Point

Navel Base in Maryland

as a clerk typist in the

supply department. This

is where she first met and

later married Allan Hoff, a

handsome Navy sailor,

that she had told a co-

worker she was going to

marry, even before she

met him. It was those blue

eyes.

Betty and Allan made

their home in rural Minot,

ND, where she resided

until moving to Garrison

last year. Here they raised

6 children, a dog and

many beautiful memories.

Family was her first love.

She liked to sew and

made or altered numerous

wedding gowns, dresses,

and so much more. She

even sewed a fishing

house once. Cooking was

a natural talent, and never

did a guest come to the

house and not have cook-

ies or some other treat. At

scout gatherings, she was

known as the chili lady.

She was a beautiful wife,

mother and friend who

loved to spend time with

her grandchildren and

great-grandchildren as

well as many new and old

friends.

Hunting, fishing and

camping were family

entertainment. If season

was open, most likely she

was not at home but rath-

er out with Allan and/or

the family. Many a sun-

rise was spent on the lake

or in a field.

Betty is survived by: 6
