David Zeltinger

David Zeltinger, 61,
Glenburn, ND, died
Wednesday, April 10,
2019 in the Garrison Hos-
pital.
David was born De-
cember 19, 1957 in
Mohall, North Dakota the
son of John and Agnes
(Volk) Zeltinger. He was
raised and educated in
Glenburn and graduated
from Glenburn High
School in 1976. He
worked locally for Bob
Rumple at his repair shop,
and many years for West-
lie Truck Center. In the
mid-eighties he owned
and operated, with his
brother Tim, a Sinclair
station in Glenburn,
North Dakota. In the early
nineties, he moved his
family to Iowa and was
employed by Hunter En-
gineering, and later C.J.
Moyna and Sons Con-
struction.
He furthered his educa-
tion studying mechanical
engineering at Hawkeye
Community College in
Waterloo, IA and later at
the University of North-
ern Iowa in Cedar Falls,
IA. After his education he
was employed by A&M
Design working on many
projects for John Deere.
He returned home to
Glenburn, North Dakota
where he was contract
employed by several local
companies.
He was once married to
Karen Lirette. From this
union, four sons were
born.
David enjoyed cooking,
fishing, and tinkering on
vehicles. He especially en-
joyed spending time with
friends and family. His
home was always open for
big Holiday meals, feeding
anyone in the area that
did not have a place to go.
His loving family in-
cludes, sons, Keenan
(Jackie) Zeltinger of New-
town, ND, Kaleb Zelt-
inger, Williston, Kody
Zeltinger, Williston and
Kasey (Karissa) Zeltinger,
Minot; 3 grandchildren to
include: Ali, Isla and Lay-
na; siblings, Rae Jeanne
Zeltinger, Kenmare, Don-
na (Eugene) Jimmerson,
Valdosta, Ga, Loretta Ben-
nett, Las Cruces, NM, Jan-
ice (Andy) Ash, Marion,
KS, Linda (Harley) Hagen,
Woodbury, MN, Nancy
(John) McQueen, Mill
Creek, WA and Tim (Don-
na) Zeltinger, Glenburn,
ND; a number of nieces,
nephews and cousins.
David was preceded in
death by his parents, step-
father, Roy Avery, broth-
er, Raymond and
nephews, James Wink and
Johnny Jimmerson, and
grandson Derrick Zelt-
inger.
Public Gathering: At
the request of family,
there will not be a view-
ing or formal service,
however family and
friends may gather on Sa-
turday, April 13, 2019
from 3:00-5:00 p.m. in
Thomas Family Funeral
