Mark Wade Onarheim

(Moen) Onarheim. He was

born on October 19, 1971

in Bottineau. He grew up

in Bottineau and attended

Bottineau Public Schools,

a very young age, he

would hound his father to

take him to work with

him, so he started in the

construction business at

the age of 14. He had a

few odd jobs as a

teenager, but his love was

working with his father

doing concrete construc-

tion. In 1991 he pur-

chased Onarheim Con-

struction and he carried

on the family tradition

with pride. Mark was very

meticulous when it came

to his work, whether it

was a home project or for

one of his many custo-

mers. In August of 1994,

Mark married Lori Nel-

son. This marriage later

ended but they remained

best friends.

Mark was very proud of

his children Carley and

Kye, whom he loved with

all his heart and he told

them so everyday.

In 2009, Mark, Einar

and Carley took a trip of a

lifetime to Onarheim,

Norway to see where his

father grew up. It’s on the

west coast of Norway and

there he met many family

member for the first time.

He was forever grateful

that he got to go there

with his father to see his

father’s old stomping

grounds.

Mark was a member of

the Bottineau Volunteer

Fire Dept for 5 years. He

enjoyed his breakfast of

Mountain Dew, Caramello

Candy bar and cigarettes

every morning. He loved

to make people laugh with

his quick wit and goofy

antics. He also loved

listening to Waylon Jen-

nings cranked all the way

up.
