Rodney “Rod” Dean Christenson

that the family of Rodney

“Rod” Dean Christenson,

a native of Minot, North

Dakota, announces his

passing after a brief ill-

ness on September 24,

2018 at the age of 62.

Rod will be lovingly

remembered by his moth-

er, Yvonne Christenson; 3

brothers, Brent, Scott and

John; 2 sisters, Nancy

(Pete) and Heidi (Brent);

and numerous nieces and

nephews.

Rod was preceded in

death by his father,

Clarence “Christy”

Christenson.

Rod loved sports of any

kind from basketball to

horse racing. He spent

years helping his father

with basketball camps

and had a natural ability

to teach children the

game. He knew all kinds

of sports statistics and

facts! He loved animals

and was lucky enough to

help train horses in up-

state New York. There

were years of family gath-

erings and times at the

camp filled with laughter

and fun.

He was one of the kind-

est souls, never judgmen-

tal and always accepting

of others.

There will be a private

memorial service on Oc-

tober 12, 2018 at Trinity

Lutheran Church in Baton

Rouge, Louisiana. Inurn-

ment will take place in

Minot, North Dakota at a
