Myla Corrine Opsvig,

87, passed peacefully on

Friday, August 24, 2018 at

the Christian Health Care

Center in Lynden, Wash-

ington, surrounded by her

loving family. Myla’s bril-

liant smile and infectious

laugh will be greatly

missed.

Myla was born January

28, 1931, in Minot, North

Dakota to Julius and Ale-

da (Nelson) Lund. She

graduated from Minot

High School in 1949 and

attended college at Pacific

Lutheran University in

Tacoma, Washington.

On July 4, 1954, in

Washington DC, she mar-

ried the love of her life,

Robert (Bob) Opsvig. Bob

and Myla moved to Seat-

tle in 1957 where they

raised six children. In

1996, Bob and Myla made

their final move to Lyn-

den, Washington where

they happily spent their

retirement years. Myla

adored her family. She

was the hub that kept

everyone together.

Myla was predeceased

by her parents; her hus-

band of 61 years, Bob;

brother, Ted Lund; sister,

Joyce Kolberg. Survivors

are children, Robb

Opsvik; Kristen (Rusty)

Reams; Eric (Teresa)

Opsvig; Todd (Jan)

Opsvig; Heidi (Brian)

Croissant; Sonja (Bob)

Beal. Numerous grand-

children and great-grand-

children. A family

memorial will be deter-

mined for a later date.

Memorials can be made in

Myla’s name to a charity

of choice.
