Les was united in mar-

Les was involved in the
water well drilling busi-

he would come back to
the family farm to help
his mother. In 1971, he
and Jennie purchased a
neighboring farm, where
they settled and farmed
small grains and raised
livestock. In the late
1970’s, Les worked along-
side his brother, Mike, in
the water well drilling
business.
He was baptized at
Christ Lutheran Church in
Lignite, where he occa-
sionally attended. He also
served as chairman of the
Diamond Township Board
for number of years.
He enjoyed raising his
cattle, the development
and operation of his grav-
el pit, going to the casino,
playing pull-tabs and
drinking beer. In his
younger days, he enjoyed
participating in demoli-
tion derbies. He loved
traveling to his brother’s
