Jerome “Fudger” Held,

63, Harvey, ND died Sun-

day, June 10, 2018 at CHI

St. Alexius Hospital in

Bismarck, ND, after a brief

illness.

Funeral services will be

at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June

15 at St. Cecilia Catholic

Church, Harvey, ND.

Visitation will be held at

the church on Thursday,

from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with

a Rosary Prayer Service

following the visitation at

7 p.m. at the church.

Burial will be in the St.

Anthony Catholic

Cemetery, Selz, ND.

Jerome was born on Au-

gust 13, 1954 in Rugby to

Edward and Mary

(Bachmeier) Held. Jerome

grew up and attended

school in Selz through the

8th grade. He then at-

tended school in Harvey

and graduated from Har-

vey High School in 1972.

Jerome began farming

with his father and broth-

er Daniel. He also raised

black angus cattle and had

just recently sold them.

He married Pamela Dietz

on October 9, 1987 in

Fessenden and they lived

in Harvey.

Jerome enjoyed playing

softball in his younger

years for the team from

Vic’s Bar. He also loved

ice fishing and bragged

his biggest perch was 2

ounces off the state

record. He was a diehard

Los Angeles Raiders fan

and he enjoyed watching

the Los Angeles Lakers.

He loved to visit with peo-

ple everywhere he went,

and he made many

friends at the casino, play-

ing slot machines. Jerome

& Pam had many fun

weekends at Spirit Lake

Casino, and they loved go-

ing to movies together,

but didn’t always agree on

what to see. Jerome and

Pam loved their cats Sha-

dow and Tigger. His faith

in God was so important

to him, and they enjoyed

going to church together

every Sunday.

Jerome is survived by

his wife Pamela Held of

Harvey; brother, Daniel

(Virginia) Held of Selz;

sisters, Vernae (Jerry)

Bender of Harvey, Janet

(Mark) Schmidt of

Bismarck, Karen (Marvin)

Migler of Rugby; 16 nieces

and nephews; 3 great-

nieces, and 1 great-

nephew, and many un-

cles, aunts and cousins.

Jerome was preceded in

death by his parents and

his father-in-law and

mother-in-law, Ray &

Clarice Dietz.
