ND the daughter of Gorge
and Vivian (Clark) Liebel.
She graduated from Minot
Ryan High School in
1946. Following high
school, Eloyce met “LeRoy
“Salty” Prichard and they
married on November 24,
1947, in Minot, ND at St.
Leo’s Catholic Church.
During the first two years
of marriage, Eloyce and
Salty moved around
North Dakota and Eastern
Montana in a box car liv-
ing quarters where Salty
was a relief telegrapher
with the Northern Pacific/
Great Northern Railroad.
In 1949, Eloyce and Salty
settled in Sidney, MT
where they began their
long residency in Sidney.
Eloyce worked for many
years for the Sidney Mill-
work for Clair Evanson
and worked at the build-
ing of the new MDU plant
in Sidney during its con-
struction and start up be-
fore starting her long
career at the Holly Sugar
Factory in the Accounting
Department. Eloyce
worked at Holly Sugar
through many campaigns.
Her husband, Salty died
in February of 2012, and
Eloyce continued to live
in Sidney until December

Church in the early 60’s.
Eloyce and Salty retired in
the early 80’s and enjoyed
19 years in Mesa, AZ with
friends and relatives. Dur-
ing this time, Eloyce and
Salty were avid square
dancers and were active
in the local square danc-
ing club. They traveled
many miles over the years
with friends hitting every
square dance convention
they could find, even trav-
eling into Canada. Danc-
ing and teaching clogging
was Eloyce’s favorite.
Eloyce and Salty were
beautiful ballroom danc-
ers and traveled to the
Hollywood Palladium in
1970 to dance at a
Lawrence Welk TV Show.
Family was important to
Eloyce. Eloyce and Salty
traveled to many Liebel
picnics over the years and
traveled visiting many of
Salty’s family also. In
1960, Eloyce and Salty
welcomed a son, Neal
Thomas into their home.
The 60’s and 70’s were
focused on Neal and his
musical endeavors. They
never missed one of
Neal’s musical perfor-
mances.
