Helen Johnson

Apple Valley, Minnesota,

died early Saturday morn-

ing after a short battle

with cancer. Helen was an

RN and worked as a nurse

in Bismarck and else-

where. She also was in

the Army Reserve and

served in hospitals during

the Vietnam war as well

as a MASH unit during

Desert Storm. She retired

in 2012. She was active in

church and always had

time to help others. She

had a passion for hand

bells and loved to read

and play the piano. She

was loved by many and

will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death

by her parents and is sur-

vived by her siblings and

many nieces and

nephews. Funeral ser-

vices were held at her

church in Apple Valley,

MN on April 18th. Inter-

ment will be in the North

Dakota Veterans Cemetery

at 1825 46th St, Mandan,

ND on Friday April 20th

at 1 pm.
