Pedersen, 74, Velva, died
Monday, March 5, 2018 in
a Velva Nursing Care
Center.
Angie Pedersen was
born March 24, 1943 on
the family farm near Or-
rin, North Dakota the
daughter of Martin and
Rose (Degenstein) Martin.
She was raised on the
family farm near Orrin
and educated at Antelope
Township Country
School. During her
younger years she was
employed with Ellison’s
Department Store and The
Keg Restaurant in Minot.
Angie was united in
marriage to Marvin Peder-
sen on March 11, 1966 at
Oak Valley Lutheran
Church, Velva. They
made their home
throughout the years in
Velva, where along with
raising their three chil-
dren, she also provided
day-care for children in
her home for a number of
years.
Angie was a longtime
member of Oak Valley
Lutheran Church, a Velva
Coffee Club, enjoyed mak-
ing doilies, as well as
cooking, especially many
German dishes. She espe-
cially enjoyed attending
many of her
grandchildren’s activities
throughout the years.
Her loving family in-
cludes: husband of 51
years, Marvin Pedersen,
Velva, ND; children, Nan-
cy (Mike) Lucy of Minot,
ND; Sandra Fruhling, Vel-
va, ND; Myron (Bonnie)
Pedersen, Velva, ND;
grandchildren, Samantha
(Ryan) Rasmusson, Ash-
ley, Haddie, Jocelyn Lucy,
Seth Fruhling, Lacee
Fruhling, McKenzie, Hay-
ley, Kady, Emma and Ma-
son Pedersen; great grand-
son, Lincoln Rasmusson;
sisters, Laura Vetter, Dic-
kinson, ND, Mary Schatz,
Anamoose, ND, Stefina
Demchuk, Minot, ND,
Kathy Branson, Fergus
Falls, MN, Linda Black,
Minot, ND; several nieces,
nephews and cousins.
Angie was preceded in
death by: her parents and
brothers, John, Edward,
Martin, Alvin & Kenneth
Martin.
Celebration of Life ser-
vice: Saturday, March 10,
2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Oak
Valley Lutheran Church,
Velva.
Interment: Velva Com-
munity Cemetery, later in
the spring.
Visitation: At the re-
quest of the family, there
will not be a viewing,
however friends may sign
a memorial register book
on Friday, March 9th from
4:00-6:00 p.m. in the Tho-
mas Family Funeral
Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred
to the Trinity Cancer Care
Center or Oak Valley
Lutheran Church.
