Kelly Haugen, 55,
Surrey, passed away,
Wednesday, December 6,
2017, in a Minot hospital
surrounded by her loving
family after a courageous
battle with cancer.
Kelly was born Sep-
tember 5, 1962, in Minot,
ND to Ronald and Betty
(Torno) Skinn. She grew
up and was educated in
Minot, graduating from
Minot High School in
1980.
Kelly was united in
marriage to Wes Haugen
on September 20, 2002.
They made their home in
Surrey, ND. Kelly spent
more than twenty years of
her working life at the
Roll’N Pin Restaurant on
north hill in Minot in
every aspect of the busi-
ness, doing her best to
serve its patrons. Kelly
spent the last ten years of
her working life as an out-
side sales associate for
Gaffaney’s of Minot.
She was a member of
Our Savior Lutheran
Church, Moose Lodge and
was a part of many dart
leagues in Minot and the
surrounding area for
many years.
Kelly spent time in the
garden and enjoyed tend-
ing to her flowers. She
also spent time baking
and canning, sharing the
fruits of her always ‘green
thumb.’ Kelly enjoyed
throwing darts, playing
bingo and games of
chance at the casino. She
was an avid Green Bay
Packers fan and had a soft
spot for Scottie dogs. Her
generous spirit will be for-
ever missed by all of her
family and friends.
Kelly’s surviving family
includes: her husband of
15 years, Wes Haugen,
Surrey, ND; sisters, Kari
(Jim) Porter, Minot and
Lorrie (Tim) Brogan, Seat-
tle, WA; brother, Mark
Skinn, St. Paul, MN;
nieces, Ashley (Jess)
McIntyre, Tioga, ND and
Lacy (Jason Stewart) Port-
er, both of Minot;
great-nieces, Aura Stewart
and Landrie McIntyre;
special card partner, Jim
Schweyen, Minot and
Doneta Skinn, Minot, ND;
mother-in-law, LaVerne
Haugen, Des Lacs, ND;
sister-in-law, Delores
(Butch) Walhood, Des
Lacs, ND; brothers-in-law,
Delos Haugen, Burlington,
ND, Terry Haugen, Des
Lacs, ND, Ardean (Lori)
Haugen, Minot, ND and
Ardell (Kathleen) Haugen,
Minot, ND along with
numerous aunts, uncles,
cousins and her furry
friend Frannie.
Kelly was preceded in
death by: her father,
Ronald Skinn and mother,
Betty Skinn-Schweyen.

December 11, 2017 at Our
Savior Lutheran Church,
Minot.
Interment: Rosehill
Memorial Park, Minot, ND
