Theresa Ellis

Theresa Ann Ellis, 81,

Grand Forks, formerly of

Towner, died February

13, 2017 at her home in

Grand Forks.

Theresa was born on

March 23, 1935 at Bot-

tineau to Bartholomew

and Lilly (Lord) Allard.

She was raised on a farm

in the Dunseith/Bottineau

area. She graduated from

Notre Dame High School

in Willow City in 1953.

She married Alton Willi-

am Ellis at Willow City on

April 30, 1955. Mr. Ellis

died on June 2, 2011.

Mr. Ellis was a commer-ical truck driver so they

lived in many places

around the country but

for over 40 years had

lived on a farm near

Towner. She moved to

Grand Forks in 2013.

She is survived by: her

children, Vickie Ellis –

East Grand Forks, Min-

nesota; Joni and her hus-

band Ronald Wolf – Kin-

dred; Kerry Ellis – Minot;

DeAnna and her husband,

Ray Miller – Sawyer; Shel-

ly and her husband, Steve

Holmes – Parshall; Ronald

Ellis – Bottineau. She also

leaves 18 grandchildren

and 26

great-grandchildren and

numerous nieces and

nephews.

She was preceded in

death by: her husband, a

son, Bryan, in 2003, and

brothers, Fred, John,

Walter, William Allard

and sisters, Charlotte

Bouslawki and Lucille

Alameda, and her parents.

A private memorial ser-

vice will be held at the

Willow City Memorial

Park Cemetery at Willow

City in the spring.
