Paul Parmenter, 50,

Minot, ND, passed away

unexpectedly Thursday,

February 9, 2017, in his

residence.

Paul Kevin Parmenter

was born September 10,

1966, the son of Richard,

Sr. and Joan (Parmenter)

Barnett, in London, Eng-

land. The family moved to

Minot, ND, when Paul

was 8 years old. He was

raised and educated in

Minot and graduated from

Minot High School.

Paul enlisted in the Un-

ited States Army and

proudly served his coun-

try while stationed in Os-

burg, Germany. He was

honorably discharged in

1989.

Following his dis-

charge, Paul returned to

Minot. He married Kathy

Wible on February 14,

1998, in Velva, ND. They

made their home in Velva

and from this union, two

beautiful children were

born: Matthew and Eliza-

beth. The couple would

then divorce in 2006.

Paul enjoyed darts,

pool, constructing model

cars, cooking, and eating

Starburst candies. He was

also an avid Minnesota

Vikings fan and enjoyed

playing Fantasy Football

every season. Paul was a

wonderful father, brother

and friend and loved his

children, nieces and

nephews more than any-

thing in the world. He

will be deeply missed by

all who knew him.

cludes: Children,

Matthew Parmenter, Mi-

not, and Elizabeth Par-

menter, Velva; father,

Richard Barnett, Sr., Far-

go; brother, Richard Bar-

nett, Jr. (Jessica Robin-

son), Minot; twin sister,

Laura Barnett-Olson,

Minot; sister, Cherrie

(Shawn) Randash, Minot;

and numerous nieces,

nephews, great-nieces and

nephews and cousins.

Paul was preceded in

death by his mother, Joan

Barnett; paternal grand-

parents, Richard and Avis

Barnett; maternal grand-

parents, Robert and Edith

Parmenter; and several

cousins.

Funeral: Monday, Feb-

ruary 13, 2017, at 1:00

p.m. at Thompson-Larson

Funeral Home, Minot, ND.

Interment: Rosehill

Memorial Park, Minot, ND.

Visitation: One hour

prior to service at the fun-

eral home.
