Magdalena ‘Lena’ Gange

Gange, 94, Drake, passed

away Wednesday, No-

vember 9, 2016 at the St.

Alexius Hospital in

Bismarck.

Magdalena ‘Lena’ Volk,

daughter of Frank and

Margaret (Gerhardt) Volk,

was born May 1, 1922 on

her parents farm near Or-

rin where she was raised

and educated.

On October 21, 1941,

Lena was married to Jacob

Gange in Orrin.  They

made their home on vari-

ous farms in the Drake

area before moving into

Drake in 1959.  Jacob

passed away June 15,

1987.

Lena was a long time

member of the St.

Margaret-Mary Catholic

Church in Drake.

She is survived by 10

children, Monica Gange

Fox of Taylorville, IL, Leo-

nard (Denise) Gange, Al-

len (Shirley) Gange, Tillie

Gange Bell, Donna Gange

McManigell and Jack

(Carol) Gange all of

Bismarck, Ivan (Mary)

Gange of Mandan, Caro-

lyn Gange Stephenson of

Minot, Mary (Dan) Gange

Field of Drake and Sandra

(Jeff) Gange Hueske of

Richardton; 28 grandchil-

dren; 50 great-grandchild-

ren; 13 great-great-

grandchildren; numerous

nieces and nephews and

many friends.

Lena was preceded in

death by her husband,

Jacob; her parents;

daughter, Amanda;

several grandchildren;

and all of her siblings.

Funeral: Saturday, No-

vember 12, at 10:00 a.m.

at the St. Margaret-Mary

Catholic Church in Drake.

Prayer Service: Friday

at 7 pm at the church.

Burial at the church

cemetery.
