Mortensen, 66, Mohall,

died Tuesday, Nov. 15,

2016, at a Minot hospital.

He was born Sept. 22,

1950, in Minot, to

Clarence and Gladys

(Becker) Mortensen.  He

graduated from Mohall

High School in 1968.  For

a time, he worked for

Amerada Hess.

Dean married Andrea

Magnuson on July 14,

1972, in Sherwood.  He

worked for Harry and

June Martin at the Mohall

Creamery until 1973.  In

1973, he went to work as

a maintainer operator for

Renville County.  He took

great pride in his work.

He retired on Sept. 22,

1995, due to a back injury.

Dean was a member of

Zion Lutheran Church,

Mohall.  He served as the

Mohall Municipal Judge

for eight years.  He was

very proud of serving as a

judge and was still talking

about it to anyone who

would listen.  He will be

remembered as an avid

collector of hats and pens,

and for his joke telling.

tensen and Phyllis Jensen.

Funeral:  11 a.m., Mon-

day, Nov. 21, 2016, at

Zion Lutheran Church,

Mohall.

Burial:  Mohall Com-

munity Cemetery, Mohall.

Family Service:  3 p.m.,

Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016, at

Brose Funeral Home,

Mohall.

Visitation:  11 a.m. to 3

p.m., Sunday, at the fun-

eral home.
