Laurel Ann Lawrence,
72, passed away Sunday,
April 24, 2016 at Tioga
Medical Center.
Visitation will be held
12pm to 6pm, Wednes-
day, April 27, 2016 at
Fulkerson Stevenson Fun-
eral Home – Tioga with a
family Service to follow.
Funeral Services will
be at 2pm, Thursday April
28, 2016 at First Lutheran
Church-Tioga. Pastor Jim
Booth will be officiating.
Burial will follow in
Betaini Lutheran
Cemetery. Funeral ser-
vices are entrusted with
Fulkerson Stevenson Fun-
eral Home in Tioga.

Laurel Ann Lawrence
was born November 06,
1943 to George and Olive
(Frisinger) Ramberg in
Williston, ND. She grew
up in Dry Fork Township,
South of Tioga, and at-
tended country school
through the 8th grade and
graduated from Tioga
High School in 1961. She
was baptized and con-
firmed at Trinity Lutheran
Church.
Laurel met the love of
her life Bernice (B.L.)
Lawrence. She was mar-
ried May 28th, 1962, and
moved from her father’s to
her husband’s house on
the corner of 2nd and
Dakota Streets, where she
lived for 55 years. B.L.
and Laurel ranched and
owned and operated
Lawrence Transportation,
an oil-field equipment
moving company. After
retiring from the trucking
business, Laurel contin-
ued to ranch and cooked
at the Tioga Senior Center
and worked as a
home-health care aid.
Laurel saw the positive
in everyone and always
showed respect and digni-
ty for people from all
walks of life. Laurel had
a passion for reading,
food, gardening, and fami-
ly. She loved to entertain
and made everything into
a party. Family always
looked forward to her an-
nual Christmas dinners,
complete with the family
Christmas pageant. She
always made her guests
feel welcomed and spe-
cial. Laurel had a passion
for travel and took all her
nieces and nephews on
trips. She traveled
throughout the United
States, Europe, South
America, and Turkey.
She was a Room Mother,
Cub Scout leader, and 4-H
leader.
Laurel was a member of
the Tioga Senior Citizens,
Sons of Norway, the Le-
gion Auxiliary for over fif-
ty years, and a board
member of both the Unit-
ed Cemetery and Williams
County Council on the
Aging.
Laurel is survived by
her sons Allen Lawrence
(Sinan Duzyurek) of
Washington, DC, and Jam-
ie Lawrence of Tioga and
one grandson, Ethan
James Lawrence; siblings
Lois Wiedmer of Sydney,
MT, Corrine Redmond of
Tioga, Gary Ramberg of
Winnie, TX, Charles
(Roberta) Ramberg of
White Earth, ND, Kathy
(Brian) Hove of Tioga and
Sisters-in-Laws Rose Ram-
berg of Roberts, MT, and
Mary McArthur of
Shreveport, LA; aunts
Ann Belle Dixon and Vera
Bergstrom and uncle Carl
Frisinger; several nieces
and nephews; and
cousins.
She was preceded in
death by her husband,
B.L., parents, two broth-
ers, two stepdaughters
Mary Lee Anderson and
Carolyn Herndon; a
Nephew Chantz Ramberg
and brothers-in-law Toby
Wiedmer and Jack Red-
mond.
