Corrine Larson
Corrine D. Larson, 87,
Minot, passed away on
Friday, April 8, 2016 in
her home.
Corrine Deloris Grindy
was born August 20, 1928
at Columbus, ND, to
Clarence and Linda
(Henderson) Grindy. She
attended school in
Columbus until the fami-
ly, including four broth-
ers, moved to Minot in
1944. She graduated from
Minot High in 1946. Her
work experience included
“Monkey Wards,” Trinity
Hospital, Westland Oil
and Northwest Clinic.
On April 2, 1947 she
and William K. Larson
were married in her
home. Their first home
was at the Lincoln Apart-
ments and later in East-
wood Park. They moved
to the Larson farm
southeast of Minot in
1955 where they raised
four boys, farmed, and
Bill worked at NSP. They
became very involved in
the Nedrose neighbor-
hood. Corrine was active
in the Country Dozen
Homemakers, helping
with Nedrose School ac-
tivities, Zion Lutheran
Church activities, TOPS
Club and American Le-
gion Auxiliary.
With the family raised
she really enjoyed attend-ing local concerts, Host-
fest, making afghans for
family and friends, prayer
shawls for the church,
church circle, and helping
at church functions. She
dedicated her entire life to
helping family and
friends, a true friend to
everyone!
The house in town
since 1975 was at 510
Hillcrest Drive with her
latest home The Welling-
ton in Minot.
Those fortunate to
share in her life: Husband
of 69 years, William K.
Larson; four sons: Clinton
(Ardella), Fargo, ND;
Michael, Palmdale, CA;
Dr. William (Jeanette),
Lake Park, MN; Paul
(Kim), Minot, ND; broth-
ers: Kenneth (Stella) Grin-
dy and Lyle (Carole) Grin-
dy; sisters-in-law: Aldine
Grindy and Marge Agrey;
six grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; many
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in
death by: her parents;
stepfather, John Ehlke;
brothers, Louis and Stan-
ley Grindy.
Visitation: Tuesday,
April 12, 2016 from 3 pm
until 7 pm with the family
present receiving visitors
from 4 until 6 pm all at
Thompson-Larson Fun-
eral Home, Minot
Funeral Service:
Wednesday, April 13,
2016 at 10:30 am at Zion
Lutheran Church, Minot
In Lieu of flowers
memorials may be give to
the VFW Post #753 Auxi-
liary of Minot.
