Jeanette Schell
Jeanette Schell, 81, Mi-
not, died Monday, Feb.
29, 2016, while surround-ed by her loving family, in
a Minot hospital.
Jeanette was born Aug.
12, 1934, in Lake Park,
Minn., to Gotfred and Ber-
tha (Skare) Berland. She
was reared and educated
in Lake Park. As a teen-
ager she was employed as
a nanny for a Georgetown,
Minn., family with five
children. Jeanette was
once married to Clarence
Stich Jr. They made their
home in West Fargo and
Pueblo, Colo., prior to
moving to Minot in 1974.
While residing in Minot
she was employed as a
waitress at various restau-
rants, including Arby’s.
She retired in 2006.
Jeanette was a member
of Eagles Wings Com-
munity Fellowship
Church, Minot. She espe-
cially enjoyed flower gar-
dening, spending time
with her grandchildren,
playing guitar and singing
and embroidery.
Jeanette is survived by:
her children, Monica
Stich of Fargo, Sonja
(Alan) Spicher of Pueblo,
DaVanney (Darla) Stich of
Minot, Sheila (Keith)
Cochrane of Minot, Jamie
Stich of Fargo; daughter-
in-law, Karla Stich of
Monument, Colo.; 17
grandchildren; 28 great-
grandchildren; one great-
great-grandchild; brother,
Ernest (Sally) Berland of
Victor, Mont.; and several
nieces, nephews and
cousins.
Jeanette was preceded
in death by: her parents;
infant daughter, Rachelle;
and son, Gregory.
Celebration of the Life
of Jeanette Schell: 2 p.m.
Friday, March 4, in Eagles
Wings Church.
Visitation: 3 to 6 p.m.
