Darlene Hendershot,
80, Minot, died Tuesday,
December 1, 2015, in her
home, surrounded by her
loving family.
Darlene was born
March 2, 1935, in Minot,
to John and Sena (Han-
son) Hoellinger. She grew
up and was educated in
Minot, graduating from
St. Leo’s High School in
1953. She attended
Minot Business College
completing her degree in
1954.
Darlene was united in
Holy Matrimony to Jerald
Hendershot June 30,
1956, in Minot. Her
career in office adminis-
tration began at Russ Ac-
counting, a position she
held for five years until
the blessing of a large
family became her priori-
ty.
She returned to the
workforce, working at JC
Penney for a time until
she moved into an ad-
ministrative secretary po-
sition for the IBEW Local
#714 in 1976, retiring in
1997.
Darlene was a charter
member of Little Flower
Catholic Church, Minot,
where she served faithful
ly in the Confraternity of
Christian Women and
volunteered in many
areas of the church and
community over the
years. She was a member
of the Catholic Daughters
of America and belonged
to the Women of the
Moose Lodge in Minot.
Darlene cherished her
time spent at their home
on Lake Audubon. She
was often found reading a
book or planning their
next travel destination.
Darlene loved to cook and
host many gatherings, en-
joying the precious time
spent with her family and
friends. Darlene was an
avid Minnesota Twins
fan and attended many
sporting activities of her
grandchildren. She will
be truly missed for all
that she was to our family
and her many friends.
Darlene’s family in-
cludes her loving hus-
band of 59 years, Jerald,
Minot; children, Bob (Sta-
cey) Hendershot, West
Palm Beach, Fla., Dennis
Hendershot,Phoenix,
Ariz., Debra (Larry)
Gebur, Morrison, Illinois,
Dave (Kelly) Hendershot
and Pam (Blake) McKay,
both of Minot; grandchil
dren, Corey Hendershot,
Braden (Lisa) Hen-
dershot, Jordan Hen-
dershot, Camille Geber,
Chauncy (Kelly) Hen-
dershot, Seth Hen-
dershot, Abbie McKay
and Brett McKay;
great-grandchildren, Gage
Gebur, Abram and
Penelope Hendershot,
Adalyn Hendershot; sis-
ters, Eileen Skowronek,
Minot and Donna Hott,
The Villages, Fla.; along
with numerous nieces
and nephews.
Darlene was preceded
in death by her parents,
son, Ron, grandson,
Ronald and sisters,
Genevieve and Angela.

4, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at
St. Therese, Church of
the Little Flower, Minot.
Vigil Prayer Service:
Thursday, December 3,
2015 at 7 p.m. in the
Church.
Interment: Rosehill
Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation: Thursday
from 2:00-4:00 p.m. in
Thomas Family Funeral
Home, Minot, and from

church.
