Robert Roggenbuck
Robert “Bob” R. Rog-
genbuck, 70, of Binford,
passed away Wednesday,
Sept. 9, 2015, in a Fargo
hospital, surrounded by
family.
Bob was born July 4,
1945, in Minot, to Ray-
mond and Lila (Banna)
Roggenbuck. He grew up
in Minot, graduated from
Minot High School in
1964 and attended Minot
State University. He loved
that as a “Fourth of July
baby” the entire nation
celebrated on his birth-
day. Bob married Betty
Weinberger, of Turtle
Lake, on Nov. 19, 1974.
Bob and Betty lived in
numerous North Dakota
communities as Bob was
engaged in a law enforce-

worked in health care and

smaller communities
where the role of one per-
son serving as a commu-
nity leader has a greater
impact on others.
Bob established and
worked with law enforce-
ment explorer groups,
career-oriented programs
designed to give young
people experience in
working with law enforce
ment officers. He enjoyed
working with youth and
community groups and
worked to have a positive
influence in each of the
communities he served.
Bob was a longtime
member of the North
Dakota Association of
Chiefs of Police and
served as president of the
organization in 2001-
2002. He also chaired the
Southwest Crime Confer-
ence in Dickinson. Bob
was a member of the
North Dakota Peace Off-
icers Association, North
Dakota Sheriffs and Depu-
ties Association, National
Sheriffs Association,

ference, Badlands Combat

ta Chapter #1, Fraternal
Order of Eagles and

jects.

tion for all of the generous
