Gary Hatlestad

Gary Lee “Bubba” Hatlestad was born Dec. 30, 1954, in Minot, to Howard and Faye Ann (Kalabza) Hatlestad. He was raised in Max and attended Max High School. Gary spent many years custom combining and later went to work for Polaris, where he spent 21 years.

Gary had a passion for motorcyles. He also enjoyed fishing, boating and spending time with his grandchildren.

Gary is survived by: his children, Heidi Hatlestad, Roseau, Minn., and Jory (Lauren) Hatlestad, Moorhead, Minn.; grandchildren, Abbie, Alexis and Kayden Hatlestad; brothers, Glen Hatlestad, Greg (LyNelle) Hatlestad, Guy (Melissa) Hatlestad and Gerald (Darcy) Hatlestad; numerous nieces and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; grandparents; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Hatlestad.

Funeral services will be: 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Max.

Burial will be at: Zion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Max.

Visitation will be: 5 to 8 p.m. today, Friday, at Thompson Funeral Home in Garrison and one hour prior to services at the church.
