Jennifer Lynn Novlesky McNabb

HARLINGEN, Texas A rosary service was held Monday, June 16, at 7 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home, Harlingen, Texas, and a funeral Mass was held Wednesday, June 18, at 1 p.m. at St. Anthonys Church, in Harlingen, with Fr. Luis Robert Tinajero as celebrant, for Jennifer Lynn McNabb, 43, Harlingen, who passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2014, at her residence. Burial will be at Mont Meta Memorial Park, San Benito, Texas.

Jennifer was born Oct. 8, 1970, in Minot, to Maynard Novlesky and Corrine Anderson Novlesky. She attended Minot State University in Minot and received a bachelor of science in education. Jennifer married (Trey) Joseph O. McNabb III on June 17, 1994. She was employed as an elementary and special education teacher from 1994 to 2014 at Jefferson Elementary in Harlingen, Lopez-Riggens Elementary in Los Fresnos, Texas, and Laureles Elementary in Los Fresnos, Texas.

Jennifer was a member of St. Anthonys Catholic Church in Harlingen. She was known for her extraordinary baking skills and cross-stitch projects which she often shared with her fellow teachers, family and friends. Jennifer also enjoyed scrapbooking and photography. She was very active in the PTA serving as president as well as other offices and was responsible for the creation of the school annual yearbook.

Jennifer is survived by: her husband, (Trey) Joseph O. McNabb III; children, Luke Joseph (age 13) and Joshua Aaron (age 10); her parents, Maynard and Corrine Novlesky of Minot; her brothers, Brian Aaron (Sarah Herslip) Novlesky and their children, Tylas and Brett, all of Forston, Ga., and Brad Allen (Holly Kesel) Novlesky and their children Ky, Ryder and Easton, all of Grand Junction, Colo.; and her beloved dog, Max.

She was preceded in death by: her grandparents, Aaron and Mary Novlesky and Norman and Jeanne Anderson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial funds are preferred and will be used for the future education of her children to honor Jennifer’s lifelong dedication to the field of education.
