Leon Degenstein

He was born Oct. 9, 1960, to Edward and Isabel Degenstein, in Harvey. He served in the North Dakota National Guard unit in Harvey for six years. He married Kathy Borchardt on Sept. 23, 1988, in Fessenden.

Survivors: mother, of Harvey; stepson, Travis, of Harvey; stepdaughter, Nicole Borchardt, of Harvey; seven stepgrandchildren; sister, Karin Reimche, of Harvey; brother, Dale, Fargo.

Funeral: Thursday, 10 a.m., Trinity Bethany Lutheran Church, Harvey.

Burial: Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey.

Visitation: Today, 2 to 7 p.m., in Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey.

Prayer service: Today, 7 p.m., in the funeral home.
