MHS blows out St. Mary’s 15-0 to remain undefeated

On April 17, the Minot Majettes notched a 19-0 victory over Bismarck St. Mary’s on the road. Then on Thursday evening, the Magi served up another thrashing of the Saints at Duane Carlson Stadium to the tune of 15-0.

Less than two minutes into the game, Minot senior Lainey Sandberg scored the first goal of the game. The scoring would continue to come rapidly throughout the first half as much of the game was played deep in St. Mary’s territory. By intermission, Minot enjoyed an enormous 10-0 lead.

The Magi continued their offensive assault with five more goals in the second half to secure its eighth straight win to begin the season. Afterwards, Minot head coach Matt Pfau was pleased with the execution and effort level of his club.

We had lots of good energy on the offensive end,” Pfau told The Minot Daily News. “There were tons of different people scoring and assisting tonight.”

Up next for the undefeated Majettes, they plan to host the Bismarck Demons on Tuesday, May 11. Start time for that match is scheduled for 8 p.m.
