STANLEY - A produced water spill from a valve failure occurred at a site about seven miles north of Stanley Tuesday, Oct. 6.

The company estimates about 8,148 gallons of produced water were released. Of that amount, 5,040 gallons remained onsite, while 3,108 gallons discharged off the property, impacting adjacent rangeland. Produced water is a byproduct of oil and gas production.
