The North Dakota Library Association Conference is scheduled for Wednesday-Friday, Oct. 7-9, at The Grand Oasis in Minot.

The conference is the premier annual event for North Dakota's library community, offering professional development, collaborative workshops and networking opportunities for academic, public, school and specialized libraries.

The conference's keynote speakers are Mona Susan Power on Thursday and Faye Seidler on Friday. Power, an author from Minnesota, is an enrolled member of the Standing Rock Sioux tribe. Siedler, a North Dakota native, is an award-winning advocate specializing in suicide prevention, LGBTQ+ population and state data. An awards banquet and live auction is scheduled for Friday evening.

An opening reception for conference participants will be held Wednesday evening at the Minot State University’s Gordon B. Olson Library.

"We are deeply honored to welcome our colleagues from across North Dakota to the Gordon B. Olson Library," said Jolene Nechiporenko, library director. "Libraries serve as hubs for connection, discovery and innovation. Hosting the opening evening social allows us to highlight the vibrant academic community here at Minot State University while bringing together the talented professionals who work to serve readers, students and researchers statewide."
