By MDN STAFF 2 min read

JAMESTOWN - North Dakota Farmers Union (NDFU) will celebrate its 100th annual state convention Dec. 11-12 at the Bismarck Event Center. The two-day event will honor the organization's 100-year history, celebrate the NDFU Foundation and bring members together to shape the future of agriculture in North Dakota.

A major highlight will be the Foundation event, themed "The NDFU Foundation: Lighting the Next 100 Years." Convention goers can also explore "The NDFU Story: A Legacy in Pictures," a history walk showcasing the organization's rich heritage. To commemorate this historic milestone, members will seal a time capsule to be opened at NDFU's 150th convention and have an opportunity to purchase NDFU's new history book, which recognizes the organization's legacy over 100 years.

Keynote speaker Hunter Pinke will share his message of inspiration with attendees, and the Johnny Holm Band will bring the two-day celebration to a close.

Members also will help shape the future of NDFU by debating policy and legislative priorities, electing a president, vice president and district directors, and take part in breakout sessions on issues impacting family farmers and ranchers. The convention will also feature the organization's Torchbearer ceremony to honor its youth and a live auction featuring historic items.

The convention is open to the public. A youth convention for children in grades 1-6 will run along with the adult convention both days. Registration is available at NDFU.org and on the NDFU app.
