BISMARCK - The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has announced the award of nearly $1.23 million to organizations across North Dakota to support opioid response, youth outreach, economic advancement, aging issues and veterinary research, according to U.S. Sen. Kevin Cramer, R-ND.
Receiving grants were Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians for EAGLE: Economic Advancement Grants for Local Empowerment, $468,897; Quality Health Associates of North Dakota for the Rural Communities Opioid Response Program, Overdose Response, $300,000; University of North Dakota through the National Resource Center on Native American Aging, $215,343; Mountain Plains Youth Service Inc. for street outreach, $200,000; and North Dakota State University for Veterinary Food and Drug Research, $44,719.
